Concurso de Fotografia subordinado ao tema "Culturas na minha cidade"

"The European Commission wants to step into your shoes and see how you encounter intercultural dialogue in your everyday life. Read through the Participant and Photo requirements below to make sure your photos will be eligible to win, and remember- the competition ends on 30 May 2008. So, focus your camera and get out there.

Participation requirements
The competition is open to all EU residents.
Each participant may enter a maximum of three photos.
Participants should keep copies of all material submitted as entries will not be returned.
All participants must register for the competition by completing the official entry form.
All participants must certify on the entry form that the material is their own and copyrights have not been violated.
Participants must prove that all individuals depicted in the submitted photos have agreed to be used for this purpose. Accordingly a waiver for this purpose will be available for download on the website.
All participants must agree to the subsequent use of their photo material by the European Commission for measures related to the European Year 2008.
The deadline to enter is 30 May 2008.

Photo Requirements
The photo motif should capture your vision of intercultural dialogue. Go out to your neighborhood, walk through the streets of your town and catch that special moment when cultures meet. This might be people talking, learning, praying, laughing or simply being together.
The photo should have a universal appeal for people all across the EU.
The photos may be edited by the participant. This means that the presentation of the motif may be manipulated in colour or composition (montage, collage, retouching etc.) to differ from the original motif. Re-sharpening and correction of the tonal value is also permitted.
Photos must be submitted digitally uploaded through the online entry form in two formats:
a preview of the photo (255x369 pixel / 9x13) uploaded in the online entry form in all common photo formats
the high resolution master copy (at least 8 mega pixels / 2480x3508 pixel or up to 7016 x 9933 pixel / 59,4 x 84,1 cm in 300dpi – please do not extrapolate!) uploaded with the online entry form in all common photo formats
Contributions must have a title and can include a short explanation using a maximum of 150 words.
No copyrighted material may be used in the entries.
No original photo material may be used without the written consent of the parties depicted.
The European Commission reserves the right to use submitted photos for the information campaign and to reproduce all entries for promotional purposes."
